is freecarjobs.com a scam?

I have just become a member of freecarjobs.com. i would just like to know if it is a scam or not. I have heard of many people being satisfied with this program, but would like to know more. How long does it take to hear if you are getting your car? How long does it take to recieve your car after youve been contacted? Please only answer if you have experience or know some one that does. Thanks!

I have not tried it, but it is not hard to know that I should not become an identity theft victim to discover that i shouldn't.

They hide behind a privacy protection service in Portugal.

I have been a member now for 3 weeks. You are to allow 30 days to hear from companies. After you have been contacted, allow 7-14 days to receive your vehicle. All the FAQ's are there on the web site. I have great hopes that this is not a scam. I will keep you posted.

Update... after my 30 days were up, I contacted support@freecarjobs.com because I still had not been contacted by any companies. This was my response, "We will resubmit your information one last time. If you are not contacted this time in 30 days please contact us for a refund." Now it has been one week. I am still hopeful because I have researched this 10 times over. I have not found any proof that this company is a scam in any way. I will repost again with new information. Thanks!  ~MM

My boyfriend is a member and is waiting to be contacted by the companies as well. It's been two weeks today since he signed up. So far, we haven't heard anything about the companies, but we emailed the freecarjobs people and they told us to give it 30 days. I hope it's not a scam. I mean, freecarjobs has advertised on my university's news paper, has commercials on cable, and has copyrighted their websites to where you can't even copy-paste from it. What scam would spend all of that money and still not get caught, right? High hopes.

IT IS A SCAM! Please do not give your money to this company. I am speaking from experience. I paid the 40 dollar membership and submitted the application. I waited for 14 days and received no communication from freecarjobs or any companies. I emailed them at 14 days for a status update. They told me to wait 30 days to contact them and if I had not heard anything in 30 days they would arrange my application to fit the needs of their current customers.

At 30 days I emailed them again asking to contact me regarding arranging my application. They responded back saying they have resubmitted my application and to contact them in 30 days if I have not heard from any companies. I emailed them back to ask them to contact me because I wanted to arrange my application to fit the needs of the companies and asked for a phone number so I could talk to a live person about this. I received an email back saying that their phones will be down for the next 30 days due to water damage and if I have not heard from any companies by December 5th to request a refund.

I have not contacted them again and am waiting for 12/5 to contact them about the refund but I am willing to bet I will not receive one or they will tell me to contact them again in 30 days to ask again. I am willing to give my hard earned 40.00 dollars away to prevent any other person from being scammed by these people. This is not a legit job. Please don't give them your money.

I emailed them back asking for a mailing address to see if they would give me the run around as they did with the phone. Have not heard back from them about this.
